Meet the Artisan
Your mug is lovingly handcrafted by Chloé, a Canadian ceramic artist with a deep passion for animals and form. Together with a small team of fellow art school graduates, Chloé blends sculpture and fine ceramics into keepsakes that are both beautiful and meaningful.
And the best part? You’re part of the process. From first sketch to final kiln-firing, we share photo updates and ask for your approval — because your mug should capture your pet’s spirit perfectly.
Every mug is a love letter in clay.

Custom pet mug questions
Which photos should I prepare?
Choose clear, well-lit photos showing your pet's face, eye colour, ears and distinctive markings. Add a side view and a full-body reference if the requested pose needs them. Identify each pet when requesting more than one.
Can I add a name or special message?
Send the exact spelling and your preferred placement with the design request. Confirm the available text, colour and placement options before ordering.
Will I see the design before it is finished?
The process described above includes a preview photo for approval before painting, glazing and firing. Use that stage to check the pet's details and your requested text, and ask which changes are possible before approving.
Can I put it in a dishwasher or microwave?
Check the care instructions supplied for your finished mug or ask us before using a dishwasher or microwave. Do not assume every sculpted design has the same care requirements.
How do I plan for a gift date?
Check our production and shipping policy and confirm the timing for your design and destination before purchase. Email info@coupleofthings.net with the mug details and the date you need it.
Prefer a separate display keepsake? Explore our custom pet figurines or read the pet figurine buying checklist.
